Stories that teachers can teach and kids can’t put down.
Epodos Media is a New Jersey-based educational media studio and independent publisher. We blend history, science, and culture into page-turning middle-grade fiction—starting with the Loukas & Lydia series—and package it with classroom-ready resources so schools and educators can use it on day one.
Epodos Media was founded to create a space where ideas could grow without waiting for a green light from big publishers. Our projects range from books and music to video and interactive experiences — all focused on sparking curiosity in kids and the young at heart.
What we make
- Books & eBooks: High-interest adventures rooted in history, with a dash of grounded sci-fi.
- Classroom Kits: CCSS-aligned teacher guides, discussion prompts, activities, and primary-source mini-packs
- Audiobooks & Read-Aloud Clips: inclusive access for diverse learners
- Comics & Shorts – Episodic storytelling and visual adaptations for web & print.
- Music & Sound – Through our MusicSynthesis imprint: original compositions, soundscapes, and teaching resources.
- QR-Enabled Digital Extras: vocabulary banks, maps, author videos, and mini-lessons
- Media & Social – Original short-form content designed to entertain and teach. From quick-hit myths (Aesop and beyond) to reimagined legends, mini history lessons, heritage recipes, music snippets, and behind-the-scenes art demos — we turn curiosity into a scroll-stopper.
We build curiosity hooks into every chapter—then give teachers the tools to ride that momentum.
Who we serve
- Teachers & Schools: flexible 1–3 week units, small-group or whole-class
- Libraries & After-School: plug-and-play program guides
- Families: fiction with real-world tie-ins (STEAM, history, culture)
